Nokia Lumia 920 not turning on
Nov 21, 2012 at 8:55:14 AM  |  #1

I got my new nokia lumia 920 last week.

And it's all been great (apart from the traffic on Nokia Maps doesn't work, grr)

This morning it would not turn on.

I've had it on charge for an hour and it still won't turn on.

I charged it before I left work last night and it was nearly full.

but most importantly - it won't turn on!  Please advise how to proceed.

Hi houndgirl1980 and welcome to the forums

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having problems with your new Nokia Lumia 920.  As you have had it for less than 28 days you'll need to contact our Technical Support Team on 08448 712233 who will run a diagnostic check with you.  If they can't resolve the fault over the phone with you then they will provide you with a fault code.  You can then go into your local store and they will gladly swap this to the same make and model handset.

I hope this helps, but if you need any further support please feel free to come to our Live Chat service.  We have chatters here until 8pm today for you.

Had the same issue 4 times since I got my 920 last Friday.

It seems to be a big problem with many people reporting it. A quick fix is the "soft" reset.

Hold the Volume Down button, Power button and Camera button in together until the phone vibrates, then let them go. It will reset your date and time but everything else seems ok.

Can I goto a P4U store even though I ordered from the Website?

Hi numberedjester and welcome to the forums

Thanks for your post.  If you have a faulty handset, and a fault code from our Technical Support Team you are indeed able to do a 'like for like' exchange in your local Phones4u store.
