Xperia Play, problem with messaging.

I just got the Xperia play yesterday. My provider is o2. I can send messages to some people. But one in particular person it won't send to. I can get messages from this person they they don't receive my messages. I had the HTC Desire S, it sent the messages to this person no bother but ever since I got the Xperia Play they don't get my message on their phone. It's sending but he's not receiving it. I checked the phone number and it's right. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Hi linda06 & welcome to the forums, 

 

I am unsure whether this would be a problem with your handset or your friends handsets. I would suggest to get some diagnostics ran on the handset to try and resolve this for you.

I've done some tests with sim cards and phones and I think it may be my sim card the problem is with. My sim card won't send a message to a particular person on 3 phones I tried but my mum's sim card sends the message to my friends phone no bother. So it does looks like it's the sim that may be damaged.

Hi linda06 & welcome back 

 

I'm glad to hear you may have found the source of the problem, if it is your Sim card I would suggest to speak to your network and get them to send you a new Sim card out.
